My eyes where opened by a city power company employee yesterday as I worked out my account with them for our new home. You see , I have been calling our little abode a modular. Well, its not really a modular.. its more like a double wide...teehee, and Gail at the power company wouldnt let me forget it either!
GAIL: "Is this for the mobile at this address?"
ME: "ummmm, yes the modular..."
GAIL: "Did you put a new modular on the premise?"
ME: "um, no its the same home"
GAIL: "well honey we have it listed as a mobile...."
ME: "Um, I prefer modular,(nervous giggle)"
GAIL:"OH.... no problem honey, Is this MODULAR home the same home listed for this address for the past five years?"
sigh, yes I had to face it, we live in a double wide..... I gotta tell you all though, I havent liked a house this much since my MD farm house( you know, the one where snow blew under the door!) Its so practical,huge floor space, 1200 square feet and more room seemingly than my house in Valley Center. I love my screened in porches, I LOVE my kitchen island, and pantry... I love that I can see my horses from every room. I love my huge walk in closet. In effect I love being trailer trash!! Who knew? Oh how I scoffed at trailers before. Well never say never is all I gotta say!
